Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Rotherham

Neelagiree Restaurant

4 Westgate, Rotherham S60 1AN, UK – 01709 444555

Six Stars, amazing! Our daughter had her 18th birthday dinner with us (her parents). The dinner, background music and everything blended in perfectly. We are from Rotherham and this was the first time we'd been. An amazing cultural treat. A gem for Rotherham. At the end, a little happy birthday treat. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic. Had a bit of a mix up with reservations (my fault) but they still managed to give us a table on Valentine's day. At first, I was a bit disappointed to see a set menu, but it was affordable and the food was brilliant. Best Indian I've had in ages. Service was quick and the staff were great. Would definitely recommend.

Akbar's

Meadow Bank Rd, Rotherham S61 2NF, UK – 01709 555500

Surprisingly busy for a Wednesday, plenty of staff, quick attentive service, food was very good. Disappointed that there was no draught beer and only small bottles of Cobra available. Interesting menu but something for everyone. The blanket naan breads are something to behold. Reasonably priced and great decor.

Amazing! Best Indian I have ever had! I was visiting my brother and he treated us to a meal out. As we turned up I was like "what the hell is this place" as the outside is very rundown..... Do not let that fool you! Inside is amazing and the food was incredible! Still taking about it now!

E'lupo Italian Restaurant

147 Effingham St, Rotherham S65 1BL, UK – 01709 362279

Great food, and attentive service. Lovely tiramisu and cheese cake. My one concern is lack of choice in soft drinks; only coke or lemonade.

Finally got a table at E'lupos tonight. Have to say I can see why it's busy. A little Italian in the middle of nothing. Great atmosphere and at 6.30pm was buzzing with people. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious. I had a fillet off of the special board with gorganzola. The steak was cooked perfectly. Wish I had taken a picture. We didn't feel rushed but our drinks were always full and the waitress that served us was attentive and chatty helping my husband to choose his main meal. Totally recommend a visit.
